Long overdue - today we have some RULES AND EXAMPLES of what's allowed in the club. If you'd missed the previous update, we've segregated the NSFW sexual things into a sister group, FNAF-fetish. Why? Because dA doesn't discriminate between NSFW violent and NSFW sexual with the mature content filter, and some people don't want to see sexual FNAF.

Regarding the intolerant "oh I'm SO glad it's out of the main club" or any "you should allow it in the main club - this is infringing on our rights" comments - just stop trying to impose your values on other people. If you like fetish, watch both FiveNightsAtFreddys and FNAF-fetish. If you don't like fetish, just watch the main club FiveNightsAtFreddys. End of story. Everybody's happy.

Note that if you leave an intolerant or hateful comment on FNAF-fetish we mark these comments as spam now and your deviantART account may get suspended or banned. We're not talking about us banning you from the club, we're talking about dA admins banning your account from dA, so don't risk it. Look the other way if it's not your thing. Yes, because of some f*ckwits we've lost our sense of humour about it for the moment. (it's slowly returning.... I hope. Then we can go back to simply giving you an electronic spanking as opposed to the dA banhammer. )

Violent/Gore content
Allowed in the main club as long as has mature content warning (moderate or strict as appropriate) FiveNightsAtFreddys
Anything extreme, like graphic torture, eyes being slashed... we're inclined to send that to FNAF-fetish only. This isn't fixed in stone at the moment, though... so if you're the artist, consider your audience and do what feels right.

IMPORTANT: We can't really have a complete set of rules. Basically, if we get a feel of the pic as having the intention of being erotic, then it would be more appropriate for FNAF-fetish and so be declined in the main club. And, different mods have different judgments regarding this. And there will always be a grey area.

SOME EXAMPLES: do NOT leave hate comments on any of these. I haven't asked permission to use these as examples, and I'd feel really bad if they got any hate.

In MOST cases, art will obviously belong to EITHER FiveNightsAtFreddys or FNAF-fetish. In rare cases, a pic might be submitted to both, because it lies in the grey area
e.g. :thumb548533512: has humanized versions, so some interpretation occurs. It's not obviously sexual, although those large muscles could be interpreted that way.

Also, FNAF-fetish does have a 'gore' folder, so anything extreme can also be sent to that club as well as the main club.

So if it's a grey area, we'll allow it into both clubs to avoid rubbing people the wrong way. (no, that wasn't supposed to sound sexual... oh gosh, I've been looking at this stuff for too long. xD)

Mature Content

  (yes, Five Nights In Anime is kind of a spoof, but it still belongs in fnaf-fetish)

Toy Chica is a special case... she goes around with a bib on covering her chest. The way that Scott has drawn the original, her chest isn't really breast-shaped - her chest does come out, but there's no delineation of the boobs on the side.
(yes, that's the only image I can quickly find on dA of the original game images)

So my own opinion is that sideboob would qualify for FNAF-fetish since it looks sexy to go around with a bib and actual breasts that aren't fully covered.
e.g. :thumb556826044: is borderline since it's a simple pose, but the sideboob does give the erotic vibe, to me.

Something doesn't have to have cleavage - if the pose is erotic, it would still be for FNAF-fetish
e.g.

Cleavage doesn't automatically mean will be sent to FNAF-fetish (although it usually means that).
Here's an example of some small amount of cleavage showing, but it doesn't have the erotic vibe in my opinion, therefore is suitable for the main club. (I get the pretty, Barbie-doll vibe, but I don't think that the art is trying to be erotic... probably because of the decaying flesh which adds more elements to the picture. I'm sure some will disagree with this assessment, but that's the nature of having humans judge things. We're all different. We TRY to be fair and consistent, but it ain't gonna happen.)

I still don't know where to submit my piece.
You can ask us! Or by all means just go ahead and submit it. If it's not suitable, we'll (hopefully) reject it.

What do I do if I'm unhappy with the admin's decision?
Admins in this group are asked to comment whenever a picture is declined as to the reason, and if you don't get a reason (perhaps it was done in a rush), then on the notification that says it was rejected (in 'correspondence' section of the message centre), click the 'no comment' link and comment there asking why. (we get thousands of submissions, so commenting on the front page isn't going to do anything. Do it our way by clicking on the 'no comment' link, and we know exactly where it was submitted, and which admin did the voting) Remember to check that your picture isn't actually in the club, since you may have accidentally submitted twice, and we'd accepted the first and rejected the second.
If you do get a comment from an admin but disagree with their logic, don't call us the biggest retards on the planet. Politely ask for a second opinion and state why it follows the rules of the club for it to be allowed in.
If you see some art in the club you don't think should belong, note the club and link to it. (To remove it from the club, we need to locate it in the gallery folders. Only co-founders or above can alter the gallery.)

In a nutshell, we're no longer allowing explicit sexual mature content in this club, even if it's marked as mature. (so, NO fetishes, porn, nudity, necrophilia or pedophilia and majorly suggestive images.)

Backstory

The admins had a discussion - it's interesting that we all seemed to feel concerned about exposure of sexual FNAF content to the members, whom may be underage. But we're just a small group of people, and we wanted to know how the group as a whole feels about it, hence the poll.

So, mature content can also mean gore/violence, but considering that is an intrinsic part of the FNAF story (at least implied), it's not an issue as such. (as long as it's tagged as mature content, and if someone doesn't like that, they can check out Five-Days-at-Freddys where it's only the friendly side of the animatronics)

Some members would prefer no gore, but that is quite the minority - at the moment we'll continue to have that in the club because all these people need to do is put the mature filter on, and that filters EVERYTHING out. (hover over your name at the top bar, click 'settings'. Select 'browsing' on the left. Make sure the box next to 'show mature content' is unticked.)

Now, the most common answer in the poll is to allow this content as long as the mature content filter is marked. In retrospect, it would have been good to have split that into two options "because I like it" and "because I support freedom of speech". I'm assuming that at least some of that is freedom of speech. But we're trying to take care of everyone here.

What's wrong with just using the mature content filter?
As mentioned, gore is mature content and part of the FNAF story. If you want to see gore, you have to also see sexual content. (see above for mature content filter). Now this wouldn't be so much of an issue if deviantART had an option for seeing violence/gore and NOT seeing sexual content, but no. It's all or nothing. The other concerns is that it requires knowledge of marking a deviation as mature/ remembering to mark it as mature, and people forget. Also, some people lie about their age when signing up to deviantART. That's speculation, but true.

Basically, some people like sexual fetish content, and others are actively offended by it. We're not going to take the moral high ground and expect everyone to think the way we (admins) do, but perhaps there's a way for peaceful coexistence.

Well, here's a group for it: FNAF-fetish or you can use dA's :devgroups: search, but I can't find many that are tagged appropriately therefore they don't really show up in the results. (other groups are listed in the fnaf-fetish journal)

Yes, that group is smaller than ours, but consider that it should be made up of people who want to see that kind of art, so audience interest should be better. Plus, because it's smaller, I guess it's easier for people to browse the gallery to find what interests them.

As long as everyone knows FNAF-fetish exists, you should reach your target audience.

A final word... this whole thing is MUCH bigger than this topic. At its core is a discussion about tolerance, and peaceful coexistence. Not everyone will think the way you do, therefore presenting your opinion and being open to alternatives is a more mature approach.

That saying "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" is where I believe the future is. Please think about what side you fall on before you comment - the way we express ourselves is very important. Are you someone who's demanding that others adjust to them and implying that your way of thinking is the ONLY correct way to think, or are you someone who wants to meet their personal needs but is open to allowing others to meet theirs?

So we're not talking about FNAF porn here - we're talking about world peace.

That said, we hope that most people will find this arrangement acceptable. ^^
